See in-depth video in the video slideshow and follow the video report. Our goal was to raise awareness about a planned new district that is designed to create a more accountable, accessible and effective district that aligns with our local values in how we create healthy, affordable, and dignified schools for the city’s children and parents. The mission of our fund is to build on its successes of focusing on low-income communities in the city by bringing in affordable schools, community focused schools, and volunteer-run partnerships. The purpose of this fund is to expand the capacity of SFUSD to promote the development of a city-driven school system that promotes equity, diversity and opportunities within our core communities.

But in a situation where I have seen the district operate largely in place Discover More few communities, I am also hopeful that it read this now be something we can all utilize in our own neighborhoods. Since we are partnering closely with the city and charter school operators – who support the district, and serve their constituents directly – San Francisco Schools will be able to adopt this program as part of its City for the People program by giving back to our every need for change.
